Our goal is that WAFORT’s responsible tourism criteria, made under Vietnamese conditions, becomes a label with which companies can more easily practice their sustainable strategy.

About WAFORT

Created on February 22, 2022 in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, Responsible Tourism Community – WAFORT takes action and calls for practical action to protect cultural diversity, biodiversity, development, specific changes from all members joining WAFORT in particular, and tourists, tourism participants Generally speaking. WAFORT doesn’t work for profit, but for the purpose of developing and raising public awareness of responsible tourism. Our name WAFORT is an abbreviation drawn from the slogan WE ACT FOR RESPONSIBLE TOURISM.

Events 2023 with WAFORT

As a non-profit organization, through regular and successful events organized by its volunteer members, WAFORT has gradually succeeded in bringing together tourism companies, individuals in Vietnam interested in practicing responsible tourism.

To start, WAFORT is sponsored by IMAGE TRAVEL & EVENTS and soon it will have more help from tourism companies.

Invite travel businesses to sign a Covenant to implement Responsible Tourism with partner hotels.

Organized a meeting to celebrate WAFORT's 1 year anniversary

Organized the "SUSTAINABILITY BADMINTION CUP 2023" for red-cheeked gibbons at Hồ Dầu Tiếng

Completed the training course of VIETNAM NATIONAL ADMINISTRATION OF TOURISM: Implementing ASEAN Tourism Standards.

Participate in communication program "Dấu ấn xanh qua từng điểm đến"

IMAGE FOR SUSTAINABILITY CUP 2023

Together we are working on the Vietnamese language website dulichcotrachnhiem.org, Facebook page Du Lịch Có Trách Nhiệm and various communication channels to disseminate information, criteria, products related to responsible tourism to tourism companies and Vietnamese tourists. Why not in French or English: we want to raise awareness among local travellers. Even though it is very difficult with the current level of development, WAFORT tries every day to make waves to improve the situation.

With the slogan “WE ACT FOR RESPONSIBLE TOURISM”, we want our members (companies) to take action.

Our goal in the near future is that WAFORT’s responsible tourism criteria, made under Vietnamese conditions, becomes a label with which companies can more easily practice their sustainable strategy.

The beginning is done but to keep going, it takes much more effort.
